Apply as a 2024 Vallejo Waterfront Weekend Beneficiary

MISSION:

The Vallejo Waterfront Weekend is a festival celebrating the City of Vallejo, Historic Mare Island and Solano County. Our goal is to showcase why we choose to live, work, and play in this vibrant community. In addition to providing a free, fun-filled event for the entire community, Vallejo Waterfront Weekend provides much more. The mission of the event committee is to unite the community while also providing various non-profits a venue to showcase their organizations and raise much needed funds. Net proceeds from this weekend are shared between the non-profits that participate in putting on the festival and the Vallejo Waterfront Committee.

OPPORTUNITY:

Vallejo Waterfront Weekend is seeking local nonprofit organizations currently located in Vallejo and serving the Vallejo community to be one of our 2024 Vallejo Waterfront Weekend beneficiaries. This is a great opportunity for your organization to be listed on all PR materials, website, network, volunteer, build awareness of our organization, while not only helping to raise funds for your organization but numerous other non-profits. We are asking all interested nonprofits to fill out the following application. The Vallejo Waterfront Weekend Executive Board will select beneficiaries for the 2024 event no later than May 1st. The Board will be reviewing BOTH project based proposals as well as unrestricted operational proposals. Your organization is welcome to submit more than one proposal.

Grants are typically between $1,000 and $6,000 dollars. Beneficiaries will receive their checks once all monies have been collected from the event, approximately March 2025. If your project will be completed in 2024, please be advised that your proposal will not be chosen.

CRITERIA TO BE CONSIDERED:

• Organization must be currently located in Vallejo, and serves the Vallejo community

• Active involvement in planning for the 2024 Vallejo Waterfront Weekend event

• Supporting the Vallejo Waterfront Weekend marketing through social media promotion and/or circulated vinformation

• Providing volunteer assistance during the actual event

• If you are selected as a project-based beneficiary, you are required to provide a report to the Board of Directors upon completion of project. If a report is not provided, you will not be considered as a beneficiary in future years.
